Brief Description This traditional Japanese sword has a slightly curved, single-edged blade and a brass tsuba (sword guard). The wooden grip is bound with gold and brass wire to match the scabbard which is similarly bound and decorated with brass insects and a peacock. Belt rings in the scabbard have a red cord tied between them.
