Brief Description This tachi, a Japanese long sword, has a single-edged, slightly curved steel blade and a brass tsuba (sword guard) with copper inlay and is designed to be used with two hands. The scabbard is made of hard wood and painted with lacquered gold. It has suspension loops to secure the sword with a starp or a cord.
