Brief Description An apa’apai is a particular style of Tongan club with a diamond-shaped, flat-topped point. It is sometimes called a coconut-stalk club. This club is made of a dark red wood. The straight handle is circular in cross-section at the base, becoming diamond-shaped in cross-section mid-way along its length. The head extends to a point that has a flattened tip. The weapon is completely covered with fine carving and includes four human figures carved around the head.
