Brief Description This Native American-made octopus bag is so-named because of its eight leg-like tabs and the opening at the top. Made from red cotton velvet cloth, it has a brown printed floral cotton calico cloth backing and is edged with gold silk taffeta. It was made in Canada on the early 20th century.
