This round glazed ceramic jar in natural off-white with a glazed brown stripe around the top edge once contained cheese. Product text and a rooster logo are printed on the front, again in a brown glaze. the text reads: "NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE AND CHEESE / DEFIANCE CLUB / REGD MARK". The jar was manufactured in Bunnythorpe in the Manawatu; the company later became Glaxo Pharmaceuticals.
