Winifred Alice Pepper was born in 1887, the third child of Bessie (nee Nicholson) and Henry Pepper, a labourer at Kai Iwi. Winnie was sister to Jack (1802.3521) and Lucy (1802.3554). Winnie married Gordon Alexander Walker in 1910 and they had the following children (possibly more): Henry Gordon born 1911, died 1985 aged 73 years Lilian Alice born 1912 Laurence James born 1914
