Name/Title SADDLE, SIDE
Brief Description This side saddle has white-dyed stitched leather on the seat pad and lining of the pommels, with dark brown stitched leather side flaps. The stitching is machined in the form of decorative leaves, with vines on the pommel and circular motifs on the pocket. A leaping horn on the left below the pommel can be adjusted to fit the leg of the rider. The saddle has girth straps but is missing the stirrups. A d-ring is fastened at centre back for attachment of equipment and a small pocket is attached to the right side. The saddle is padded with horsehair and covered with a soft fabric, heavily worn.
