A long street has several several pedestrians and people puling carts, with few trees and several large buildings in the background. Tram lines on the road are visible.

The message on the reverse outlines the voyage from New Zealand to Colombo" "H.M.S. Ormonde / Wednesday / Jan. 28th 1910 / Dear Dulcie, / Just a few lines to tell you that we are well on our way to / England. I meant to write before but I never seemed to have time. / We had a good trip over from N.Z. in the "Manuka" and spent / a week in Sydney. Then we left Sydney + so far have / called at Melbourne, Adelaide + Freemantle. It is now / 8 days since we saw land + we expect to be in Colombo at / 10a.m. tomorrow + we leave again at 4 a.m. the following / morning. Are you still going to the Lecture? I will write / again later on + tell you about the Foreign Parts we call / at. Please remember me to your Mother + Father + also / Annie + Ada. I will enclose my address on a piece of / paper.
