|
Brief Description |
This portrait-format postcard is printed on card with a semi-gloss finish and features a hand coloured image of a military regiment marching to war across a field with hills in the background. Officers in the foreground look on, two on horseback and others on foot, with a Union Jack flag flying from a mast in the centre of the view.
The postcard has the first verse of the song "Stand Up For Jesus" printed on the bottom: "STAND UP FOR JESUS (1) / STAND up ! - stand up for Jesus ! Ye soldiers of the Cross; / Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss. / From victory unto victory His army He shall lead, / Till every foe is vanquish'd, and Christ is Lord indeed."
The postcard has not been filled out or posted and is one of a set of three.
