Black and white photograph of a tram going down Victoria Avenue at the Guyton Street intersection in the early 1920s, with pedestrians and other vehicles on the road. Image shows McGruer's building on the corner and Denton Studios further down the block. Information panel on the reverse reads: "Victoria Avenue western side, looking south circa early 1920s. The large brick building built in 1912 was known, till approx. 1975, as McGruers Corner. This large department store was taken over by Cornish's Limited. The Dentist in the corner upstairs rooms was Mr McNeill. Denton's Studio and above rises the spire of St. Mary's Church. Coull's Leatherware. The Dome of His Majesty's Theare (later renamed The Majestic)."
