Brief Description Black and white photo of the port of Castlecliff showing the damage caused by the S.S "City of Lincoln". This was a 5-6,000 ton vessel that ran into the end of Castlecliff Wharf destroying the wharf, and also the wharf lifeboat. This happened at midday on 18/04/1930 when the vessel was entering the port but no one knows how the mishap occured.
