Black and white photo of a Scales Liner, the SS "Scottish Monarch". It weighed 5688 tons and was 440 feet in length. It was berthed at Whanganui Wharf 19-22 February 1924. Another vessel with a smoking funnel is on the Whanganui River and another vessel is berthed in front of the "Scottish Monarch." Building can be seen behind the vessels.
