This landscape-format postcard is one of a series of postcards featuring photographs of a large stately building, which was known as Mount Felix Hospital. The hospital cared for injured New Zealand soldiers in WWI.
This postcard features a photograph of a long hospital ward with soldiers and nurses around beds lined up along each side of the room. The roof and tables are decorated with ivy and flowers. In the foreground of the photo are a soldier and nurse each pulling the side of a christmas cracker.
