Brief Description	Siapo salatasi, waist mat; barkcloth (siapo) made from inner bark paper mulberry tree (Broussonetia papyrifera); in Futuna local name for mulberry tree is lafi and the garment is called salatasi. Siapo is rectangular in shape with a black three-sided border around a finely decorated central panel wich features stair-case designs and squares. The dyes used are black and brown and the reverse is dyed brown.
