Siapo salatasi, barkcloth (tapa) made from inner bark paper mulberry tree (Broussonetia papyrifera); from Futuna Island for use as a waist garment/skirt. Siapo has small intricate patterns, mostly of fine black lines in a grid. These are interspersed with rows as a brown floral motif and another motif featuring triangles and small brown dots Outer edges of siapo have been cut into tassles (in opposing directions) while the bottom edge has been cut into wider strips that have pinked edges. A further row of fringing has been attached along the bottom edge. Bottom edges have tassles, small diamond-shaped holes cut into them. This fringe is multi-coloured.
