Siapo tasina or elei or barkcloth (tapa); Samoa; made from inner bark paper mulberry tree (Broussonetia Papyrifera), brown dye; siapo tasina or siapo elei is a type of Samoan barkcloth patterned from a design tablet, emphasised with freehand overpainting with a black and brown resinous glaze of o'a sap mixed with charcoal from lama nut kernels. Square shape with repeating motif, 20 times. Flower with lines and love hearts, divided by border stripes, one with triangles and love hearts, and one with triangles. On every 2nd pattern the centre of flowers are painted over, other-wise has a windmill pattern on it. Other parts of design are emphasised with overpainting.
