This black and white photograph is of the moa display at the Wanganui Public Museum (now the Whanganui Regional Museum), was taken soon after a new wing was opened in 1968. Articulated moa skeletons of different species are enclosed behind a white picket fence. This gallery has been recently redeveloped to accommodate the Museum's entire moa bone collection which will be shown in a combined exhibition-open storage format.
