Brief Description This copy of an English three shilling bank token is dated 1811. Made of brass, the obverse has a relief portrait of King George III while the reverse shows its value and date.

Contemporary forgeries of these tokens, as well as other George III coins, ere produced in quite large numbers. Several forged varieties exist for pieces dated 1811.
