Brief Description A sieve used in archaeology, made up of nine layers of of cylindrical brass metal casing, each having a different fineness of mesh for the separation of large to small artifacts from an archaeological plot. This one was used by the museum in the 1950-1960s, possibly during the archaeological retrieval of moa bones and/or by the museum's archaeology society.
