Name/Title NORTH ISLAND GOOSE; BONE, PARTIAL TIBIOTARSUS
Brief Description Distal end plus shaft of a right tibiotarsus of an extinct North Island Goose, Cnemiornis gracilis. Although the museum has bones from shelly sand at Hunterville, brown sands at Kai Iwi, and possibly Te Aute swamp in Hawkes Bay, these bones seem to have a different preservation from the others and therefore are from an unknown locality.
