Name/Title Ichthyosauria (Ichythyosaur); partial jaw, fossil
Brief Description Part of the lower and upper jaws of an ichthyosaur, with teeth. Ichthyosaurs looked like dolphins but were reptiles, with long toothy jaws. They ate ammonites and other sea animals. This fossil was probably collected in the late 19th century on the Dorset coast in southern England, a spot famous for its ichthyosaurs for 200 years.
