Brief Description The midshaft of the femur of a species of Giant Moa (Dinornis). Similar in appearance to other fossilised moa bone recovered from Whanganui beaches, this probably washed out of a bone deposit in the Butler's Shell Conglomerate, a layer about 1 million years old.
