Brief Description This land sale poster is of "Durie Hill Garden Suburb, Wanganui". The plan shows the area on the right side of Durie Street from the junction of Blythe Street and Rodney Street through Park Avenue and Tarata Street (both now Maxwell Avenue), Whanganui. An inset location map shows the area in relation to the Durie Hill Lift and Whanganui city centre. The plan notes areas of land owned by Mrs Duncan, Mrs Ross, Mrs Broughton and J T Sinclair.

The sections were surveyed by Wall and Bogle, Licensed Surveyors, Wanganui & Taihape. The sale of the sections was handled by Mr E M Silk, Land Department, Maria Place, and Mr Imlay Saunders, Ridgway Street, Wanganui.

The poster is not dated but the beginning of the suburbian development started in the 1920s.

The poster is a lithograph, printed in green, red, black and yellow inks, on cream paper, in landscape format. The poster has been laminated in plastic.
