Brief Description This small trophy barrel is made of teak wood and sports a brass label reading "From the teak of HMS Iron Duke Admiral Jellicoe's Flagship Jutland 1916".

HMS "Iron Duke" was a dreadnought battleship of the Royal Navy, named in honour of the 1st Duke of Wellington, the ultimate destroyer of Napoleon Bonaparte about a century before. "Iron Duke" was the flagship of the British Grand Fleet during World War I and saw frequent action. In 1916, serving at the Battle of Jutland under Admiral John Jellicoe (later1st Earl Jellicoe), she inflicted terrible damage to the German dreadnought, SMS "Konig".
