Brief Description Articulated skeleton of a North Island Giant Moa (Dinornis novaezealandiae), a male from its size, assembled by George Shepherd from bones recovered in the 1930s at Makirikiri Swamp. The skull of this specimen is from a Bush Moa (Anomalopteryx didiformis), presumably because these are more commonly found.
