The union would have been drawn once all the tickets had been sold, and was expected to be drawn under the supervision of leading citizens on or about 25th March 1899. The 10 prizes were available to view at the Massey-Harris Bicycle Depot on Queen Street in Masterton, and included a range of books and artworks as listed:
