Brief Description |
A black and white photograph taken from the west bank of the Whanganui River looking south towards the Aramoho Railway Bridge. A tree stands on the right and branches of another hand on the left, with the bridge spanning the river in the centre of the view. The wharf on the east side of the river was used to supply the materials for the bridge, which were brought up by coastal boats from Wellington and unloaded at the Whanganui East wharf. The bridge was completed in 1875. Photograph is mounted on brown backing card.
