Name/Title PHOTOGRAPH; Crashed airplane at Wanganui airport
Brief Description A black and white photograph of the plane owned by F H Norton which crashed at 200 yeards from the hangar at the Whanganui Airport. A group of men are looking at the smashed front of the plane, while two young boys look inside the cockpit.
The accident occured around 2pm on the 19 September 1931. The pilot, flight officer D Seabourne, was severly injured about the head and removed to hospital. The plane is a total wreck except the tail.
