Brief Description A black and white photograph of the winner of the North Island Rifle Shooting Championship. Captain A Nielson, of the Napier Club, tied with his clubmate Deputy President R H Nicholson with 321 points. They entered a tiebreaker of five rounds, scoring 22 and 21 points respectively. Five years before this a smiliar struggle occured at the same range.

Captain Neilson is standing in front of a tent with a rifle in his right hand and the trophy in his left. He has a large number of awards on a sash across his chest.
