Brief Description A black and white photograph of a boat on a river, likely the Waitotara River The photograph was taken from the riverbank and looks towards the small cabined vessel berthed against the shore. One man in an apron stands on the bank, while three men two boys and a dog on the boat are on the boat. Willow trees line the opposite bank.
These boats were used to carry large items like pianos and furniture up the Waitotara Valley.
