Brief Description A black and white photograph of a small truck being driven on on a grassy gravel road through the bush, in the Waitotara Valley. Two people sit in the front with a large load of multiple bales of hay secured to the flatbed, and the car is turning a corner with steep bushy hillside behind it.
This was a Thronycroft model truck which belonged to W. Chesswas, and was the first vehicle to take wool out of the Waitotara Valley down the Lakes Road.
