Brief Description This model of a sailing frigate was carved by French Prisoners of War, incarcerated in British prisons during the Napoleonic Wars (1790-1815). Fashioned entirely out of beef bone with brass fittings, this near to scale ship model exhibits the incredible detail for which these prisoner of war models were renowned.
