Reverse sides have information and sketches printed in red/pink ink depicting the New Zealand crest, a tauihu (Maori canoe prow), and a scene of Mount Earnslaw at the head of Lake Wakatipu. The art work done on the reverse is by W R Bock. Also printed on each reverse is "New Zealand Post Card (Carte Postale) Issued by the New Zealand Government Department of Tourist & Health Resorts.
