This postcard is a sepia-toned photograph of a party in a large hospital ward during World War I. Wounded New Zealand soldiers and nursing staff are gathered for a celebration and ivy hangs from the ceiling. New Zealand soldiers' "Lemon Squeezer" hats are visible along the left wall of the room.
