This black and white photograph mounted in a cream mat is a three-quarter portrait of of William (Billy) Webb. Webb is facing front and is wearing a light coloured singlet and has his arms folded.
Billy Webb became World Single Sculls Champion on 3 August 1907. On that day he raced Charles Towns on the Paramatta River in Sydney, and won by eight lengths.
