Sarah's husband, Hugh Muldrock, was born in 1852 in Burnbrae in County Down, Ireland and came to New Zealand in around 1867-8. He married Sarah Peters of Carterton in 1879. Hugh was a farmer at Ngutuwera, near Waverley. As a veteran of the New Zealand Land Wars, he was granted this land.
The child in this image, Hugh James Muldrock, also became a farmer, marrying Clarice Ethel [Ethelyn] Baggarley in 1907. He died young.
