This hammered silver groat was coined during the reign of Henry V of England.
The obverse has a full-faced image of Henry V with a mullet in the centre of his right shoulder. The words "HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC" which translate as "Henry by the Grace of God, King of England and France" are stamped around the outside of the coin.
The reverse features a long cross and pellets with the words "POSVI DEUM ADIVITOREM MEUM (CIVITAS LONDON)" around the outside which translate to "I have made God my helper (City of London)". The coin was minted in London between 1413 and 1422.
