This is one of a collection of black and white photographs of buildings and streets in Whanganui and is a view of the corner of Drews Avenue and Watt Street, showing the Wanganui Savage Club.
The Savage Club moved into these premises 1933 after the Wanganui Public Museum shifted from here into a brand new building at the foot of Queens Park in 1928.
What does the Savage Club do? It entertains its members, provides good fellowship and assists worthy causes.
