"Mr Ellis of Goat Valley has just completed a very interesting exhibit, which he intends forwarding to London for the coming Indian and Colonial Exposition. It consists of a collection of mounted NZ ferns, bound in a handsome covering of polished NZ woods, and ornamented with NZ silver hinges, shield and clasp. The latter are the work of Mr Drew, at whose establishment in the Avenue, the book is now on view, and well worth inspection."
