Brief Description Watercolour painting of the steamship "Taranaki, a two-masted steamship, under sail and steam, at sea with a coastline in the background. The painting is oval in shape, with a wreath of leaves painted in gold around the edge. The watercolour has been painted on brown card, which has been cut in an oval shape and pasted on to a sheet of cream paper. The title is inscribed beneath the lower centre of image.
