Brief Description A black and white photograph is printed to make a postcard, featuring a Ceylonese fishing crew, with their fishing boat run up on a sandy beach. The double-hulled canoe has three men inside under a large sail and one man standing on the out-rigger. Faint writing in faded black ink on the right border reads, "All with kind love from / Your Father / May 09 / Red Sea". The postcard is addressed to Mr A B Gibbons / Wanganui / New Zealand on the reverse, which also has a red one-penny postage stamp featuring the profile portrait of King Edward VII.
