One of twelve family photographs relating to the Johnston family. Portrait of Eileen Hague-Smith and her baby son Douglas. Eileen was Jean McArtney's friend and later her maid of honour, and lived at 40 Jones Street in Wanganui East in the 1920s. The image is of a young woman wearing a dark skirt and white blouse standing behind a bench, looking down at a baby wearing a long white gown, lying on a blanket on the bench. Painted backdrop features a cross-hatched window. Mounted as a postcard.
