Brief Description This black and white photograph of the 2nd N.Z. Armoured Regimental Band (Queen's Own/Queen Alexandra's) was taken in Whanganui in 1948. The photograph is of 27 bandsmen arranged in two rows, all wearing a uniform and holding their instruments, the conductor standing to the left and a man in civilian dress standing to the right. The band was arranged on a stage with a painted backdrop behind.

The photograph is mounted on a beige card with names of the men printed below:
