This black and white photograph is of the Wanganui Savage Club Haka Party, taken in Whanganui in 1936. The studio portrait shows nine men arranged in two rows, the back row standing and the front row sitting. All men wear piupiu and have fake moko on their faces; their arms are crossed and they all hold a patu (club). Most wear a taniko headband.
The photograph is mounted onto beige card with the names printed below:
