This black and white photograph is of a steam train with a sign on the front saying “The Kauhu Valley Express” and a round shield with a steam train and The Railway Enthusiasts Society Inc. running around the image. The number 1277 can be seen on the fender of the train. The driver is standing on the engine. Three carriages can be seen behind the engine.
