This black and white photograph is of locomotive "Bb" pulling a mixed train, taken when the train was on the Glen Alton Branch in 1961. The image shows the engine with a flat deck carriage with large containers covered in tarpaulins. A passenger train is travelling in the opposite direction.
This is one of a collection of photographs relating to railways, collected by D G Hoy.
