Brief Description This Fijian ceremonial whale tooth necklace, or tabua,is made from a single Sperm Whale tooth, pointed at the tip and with perforations at both the tip and on either side of the base. The tooth is polished.The neck cord, dyed black, is of two-ply twisted sennit and is attached to both ends of the tooth.
