Name/Title FIGURINE; MR MICAWBER
Brief Description This figurine, carved from wood and painted, is Mr Wilkins Micawber, a character in the Charles Dickens' eighth novel "David Copperfield", character, published as a serial in 1849 to 1850, and as a book in 1850. Micawber was based on Dickens' father, a man forever in debt but always looking to chance his luck.

Micawber is dressed in a with a belly dressed in a black double-breasted vest, black bow tie, white shirt and formal black trousers and coat; he is holding some rolled papers.
