Name/Title CHAIR, BARBER
Brief Description This hand-made kauri wood barber's chair was once used in the Wanganui Prison and is reputed to have previously been used in the old Rutland Stockade. It looks like a short, wide carpenter's sawhorse with a back rest, which is made of doubled timber, rounded at the corners and held together by two bands of tin. There may once have been a head rest attached.
