Name/Title ILLUMINATED ADDRESS; To Mr William Holden
Brief Description Illuminated address to Mr William Holden from a group of friends, on the occasion of him moving house. Written by hand in black ink onto a folio sheet of quality art paper, the address is illustrated with a fleur-de-lis in gilt at the opening words with the recipient's name in two shades of blue watercolour. The address is matted in a high quality grey mat with a gilded inner border.

"Presented /To/Mr William Holden/by a few friends in token of the esteem and respect they bear him, after many years of happy fraternity./They trust that this slight memento may afford him pleasure in his new home, and that as he looks upon it, his thoughts may revert to the happy and pleasant hours spent with those whose names are affixed. Wishing him Godspeed, a pleasant voyage, and a prosperous happy future."
